Membership Renewal Time
It’s that time of year again – time to renew your membership in Foggy City Dancers! 2009 was a year of transition and growth, taking risks and awareness raising, and with your help, we can keep our momentum moving forward and upward! Square Dancing is on the move again, and Foggy City is going to be better than ever!
We held all sorts of events last year, from our three successful dances, to our award-winning Pride Float and booth and demonstration, to the return of that summertime favorite, the FCD Picnic, to some fun open house events, potlucks, raffles, and squaroling! Foggy City Dancers is once again having a successful “Zero-to-Plus” class, with three utterly incredible students (who are dancing with amazing skill and verve!), and we are going to do another recruiting and growth effort again in the Spring.
So, why do you want to renew?
-
Well, there’s the dancing – from our main club caller, Harlan Kerr, to our guest callers, Foggy City Dancers is hosting a wealth of fun and interesting callers this year.
-
FOUR Hoedowns in 2010 and beyond – that’s right. FCD is returning to hosting four hoedowns a year again, at our new dance home in the Castro at the Sanchez School!
-
More fun, social events planned – We’re going to be doing some more guerrilla dance events, do some more potlucks and parties, more community outreach.
-
FUN, FUN, FUN!

How Can You Help?
There are plenty of easy volunteering activities, all the way from stepping up to be a member of the Board of Directors down to volunteering to set-up or break-down our dances and events. Â No matter what task you decide to help with, we keep a can-do and fun attitude to make sure that all volunteers are having a great time!
What Else?
Included in this renewal package is your Valentine’s Day order form for some See’s Candy. Chocolate is such a great way to say I Love You to your someone special, or heck, even for yourself! If you order some chocolate by 3 February 2010, not only will you receive your chocolate in time for Valentine’s Day, but you’ll also help Your Club with much needed financial assistance to help ensure the club stays vital and grows.
Your Board of Directors is committed to the growth and viability of Foggy City Dancers, and with your help and participation in this coming year, we will all keep Your Club fun and successful for you!
